While driving back to Lake Champlain from dropping off a painting at the Southern Vermont Art Center in Manchester, I drove through the litttle community of Pawlet. Making a sharp right turn and crossing a small concrete bridge I had to stop...turn around...get out of my car and just soak in the beauty. At home that night I transferred a photo from my phone to my laptop and printed a picture of these falls. I drew it onto an Arches board that night. I awoke at 5 the next morning and painted on it into the evening. I awoke early again the next morning and worked a few more hours. It was so fun painting the falls without using any masking fluid.
