Standing in line to pay respect to a recently widowed friend, I received a text that an even older friend's 18 year old granddaughter had just died from an overdose. I began to think about not only is it nice to be surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, but necessary! The Bible says, "O death, where is your sting?" That day it stung a lot. I came home and thought about people who had gone before us to make our path easier. I chose a Native American composition (incorporating 4 different photos) because of there devotion and honor of their elders. May our ears be open to the grace of those we admire and who, tho gone, are still rooting for us!
