Last summer I was surprised to discover an enormous rain forest... in Alaska. This was my first visit and I was prepared for calving glaciers and panning for gold, igloos, etc. While the rest of my travelling friends got on their excursion busses I walked downtown to travel on local transportation. It was there while waiting for a bus I was seduced by this amazing Foxglove. It was brilliant and huge and vivid and generous and I fell in love with what I hope is female. For a long time I was afraid to paint her for fear of failing to capture her every intimate nuance. I reluctantly tried after 8 months of pretending I didn't want to. As well as it came out, it pales in comparison to the real lady.
